Cadmus Printer and Pinpad

Cadmus PM02 printer and Pin-pad.

Introduction

This document describes how to set-up and use your Cadmus terminal to accept BP and Cardlink charge cards as payment for products and services.

Subsequent pages describe Purchase, Refund and Loyalty transactions. Settlements are covered in the Totals section and the Menu section describes the menu structure and functions.

Your Cadmus terminal is running two separate applications, EFTPOS and Fuelcard. At idle the terminal will display the following menu:

1. EFTPOS
2. Fuelcard

The EFTPOS application enables acceptance of bank debit and credit cards.
The Fuelcard application enables acceptance of BP Oil NZ and Cardlink
   charge cards as listed in the table below:

Note

You must have Merchant agreements with BP and Cardlink in order to accept each of these cards. Until those agreements are in place, not all of the cards listed may be accepted at your terminal.

Product key template

When performing a Fuelcard transaction, the product, or products, purchased can be selected using the Terminal's numeric keys. The mapping of products to keys is shown opposite:

Alternatively, when prompted to enter a product you may also use the UP / DOWN soft keys to scroll through the list of all products available on your terminal. When the required product is displayed, press ENTER to select it and go to the amount entry screen.

Protected Functions

Some of the functions documented here require the BP Merchant card (or Manager Card) to
be swiped before the function can be used. The Merchant card protected functions are:

The Merchant Card restriction can be turned on or off. For instructions on how to turn off the Merchant Card restriction, see:Terminal Menu.

CLEAR key

The CLEAR key is used to cancel a transaction or correct an error.
The CLEAR key operates to:

Press CLEAR multiple times to keep moving back to previous displays.
