TransX for Kirkcaldie and Stains

The problem

In 2001 Kirkcaldie and Stains wanted to offer their customers a customized purchasing card for use in their large Wellington department store. They needed a system to:
Kirks card

Kirkcaldie and Stains card

The system had to acquire and authorize transactions from in-store terminals and pass those transactions through to their accounting system.

The solution

Radium provided a version of TransX to meet the needs of Kirkcaldie and Stains yet still be cost effective. The system is housed entirely within Kirks IT department and processes 16 thousand Kirk's card transactions per month from a network of 50 terminals.

Two separate environments are provided, one for production and one for training / testing.
